The Rhön-Gymnasium in Bad Neustadt an der Saale was founded in 1929. It has two fields of training: modern language and scientific-technological (since 2003). In both branches you learn English as well as Latin and / or French and can replace the first or second foreign language English and Latin with the late-beginning foreign language Spanish .

The buildings have been expanded and renovated in recent years. The last work is expected to be completed in the anniversary year 2019.

Student responsibility

The school newspaper

The school newspaper Konturen is a flagship of the Rhön-Gymnasium. The newspaper, which was launched in the 1970s, won first place in the Bavarian school newspaper competition several times in the 1990s. After it was temporarily suspended, it has been reissued via a P seminar since 2014. Even now she regularly takes part in competitions organized by Spiegel and Süddeutsche Zeitung Verlag.

German Unity Sculpture Park

Three classes took part in the painting of the field of flags in the National Monument Sculpture Park German Unity .
