The Rhabditida are an order of roundworms . It was named after the species-rich genus Rhabditis . They are mostly free-living saprobionts , some with free-living and parasitic phases.
features
Rhabditida are small, transparent, meromyarian worms (with a maximum of 4 muscle cells per quadrant). Most species are between 0.3 and 3 mm in length. Rhabditoid esophagus with corpus (often with a pseudo-bulb (metacorpus)), isthmus and usually a posterior end bulb with valve apparatus. Excretion system with lateral canals, end opening cuticularized. Mouth with up to six lips. The females are oviparous or viviparous and can be parthenogenic or hermaphroditic . Male with fine rays in the caudal wing (Caudal-Alae).
