Rhae-Christie Shaw

Rhae-Christie Shaw (born November 27, 1975 ) is a Canadian cyclist .

Rhae-Christie Shaw began her career as a competitive athlete as a triathlete . In 2010 she was ranked third in the USA Triathlon. From 2011, she shifted her focus to cycling, was third in the Canadian championship in the individual time trial , third in the criterion and ninth in the road race , and she was third in the overall ranking of the Tour de Bretagne . In the same year she started at the road world championships in Copenhagen in the individual time trial and finished seventh.

In 2012 Shaw won the silver medal in the individual time trial at the Pan American Cycling Championships and came second at the national road championships in the same discipline.

In preparation for the 2012 Olympic Games , she quit her job at Microsoft to devote herself entirely to sport. Ultimately, to her disappointment, she was not nominated.
