The Rhine-Schie Canal ( Dutch Rijn-Schiekanaal ) has been the complete water link between the Schie and the Oude Rijn (the Dutch Old Rhine) near Leiden in the Netherlands since 1893. The canal runs via Voorschoten , Leidschendam and Rijswijk to Delft .

The individual parts of this waterway have their own name and history. When driving through from Overschie to Leiden you get to the Delftse Schie , the Trekvliet and the Vliet .
