The Rheinfels pharmacy was a pharmacy in St. Goar .

The pharmacy was built by Franz Schmoll in 1598 and was the third pharmacy in what was then Hesse after the pharmacies in Kassel and Marburg . Parts of the pharmacy's furnishings from the first half of the 20th century are on display at Rheinfels Castle in the local history museum.

The Rheinfels pharmacy in St. Goar celebrated the 100th anniversary of being owned by the Meyer family in 1971. A commemorative publication was published on this occasion, compiled by Ilse Meyer, the wife of the owner at the time, Hermann Meyer. This commemorative publication (see below) describes the eventful history of the pharmacy from its foundation in 1598 to 1971. During this time she was in various houses in St. Goar. So z. B. in the Rheinstrasse between the house of Johann Georg Michel and that of Philipp Schneider and then in the house Kronier (today Heerstr. 63). Therefore the street adjacent to this house is called "Apothekengasse". The first owner from the Meyer family, Albert Ludwig Meyer, bought the pharmacy at auction on July 3, 1871 and then moved it two houses up the Rhine in the spring of 1888 to today's Heerstr. 59. After the other owners Karl August Meyer and Hermann Georg Meyer, it was moved to the town center of Heerstr. In 1990 under Ulrich Ludwig Meyer. 91 relocated. The family ownership of the Rheinfels pharmacy ended in 1997 in the fourth generation with the sale to the pharmacist I. Schwarz. On December 31, 2011, the Rheinfels pharmacy closed, which ended its 400-year history.
