The Rheingau Echo is a regional weekly newspaper that has been published once a week since 1970. The distribution area extends over all Rheingau communities and the city of Kaub .

The Rheingau Echo Verlag GmbH is based in Geisenheim . The editor-in-chief is Michael Gamisch. The circulation number is approx. 9,000 copies, of which approx. 5,000 are subscribers (as of 2019). The Rheingau Echo continues to be the official newsletter for Rüdesheim am Rhein , Geisenheim, Oestrich-Winkel and Eltville am Rhein .

history

The formerly independent communities Winkel and Mittelheim, which are now districts of Oestrich-Winkel , were looking for a suitable medium to disseminate official announcements. In the course of this, the first edition of the Rheingau Echoes was published on March 6, 1970.
