Michael Kleiner ( Hebrew מיכאל קליינר; born April 4, 1948 in Munich ) is an Israeli politician and was party leader of Cherut - HaTnu'a HaLeumit .

Michael Kleiner's family immigrated from Germany to Israel in 1951. He studied law in Tel Aviv, where he was active in local politics and was elected to the city council. He was elected to the Knesset for Likud in 1982 . After Benjamin Netanyahu left the city of Hebron to the Palestinian Authority , Kleiner left the Likud together with Benny Begin and David Re'em in order to re-establish Cherut - HaTnu'a HaLeumit , which arose out of Cherut . After two unsuccessful Knesset elections in 2003 and 2006, Begin and Kleiner returned to Likud before the 2009 Knesset election.
