Rheumatology is a scientific journal published by Elsevier-Verlag. The journal was founded in 1952 under the name Annals of Physical Medicine . In 1970 there was a change in Rheumatology and Physical Medicine , which was followed in 1972 by the change in Rheumatology and Rehabilitation . In 1983 the journal was renamed the British Journal of Rheumatology and in 1999 the name was changed to the current name. The journal is the official publication organ of the British Society for Rheumatology and appears with twelve issues a year. Works are published that deal with rheumatic diseases.
