Rhijnvis Feith

Rhijnvis Feith (born February 7, 1753 in Zwolle , † February 8, 1824 in Zwolle) was a Dutch poet and singer.

Life

Rhijnvis Feith studied law at the University of Leiden . In 1776 he returned to his hometown, first took over the office of mayor, then that of the collector at the Admiralty College. He died in Zwolle on February 8, 1824.

Rhijnvis Feith published the Brieven over various onderwerpen (Amsterdam 1784–94, 6 vols.) And Brieven aan Sophie over den geest van de Kantiaansche wijsbegeerte (1806) and other prose works. An eleven-volume complete edition of his works was published in Rotterdam in 1824.
