Rhim Ju-yeon (born April 9, 1976 ) is a South Korean cartoonist . Her works are Sunjeong Manhwa , which means that she draws them primarily for young girls.

Career

In 1999, Rhim released her first Manhwa. In the monthly comic magazine Issue ( 이슈 ) she published the Manhwa Devil's Bride from 2000 to 2001 . In it, a boy dresses up as a girl in order to save his sister from the "devil" in her boarding school.

From 2002 to 2004 she worked for Issue on the 1,300-page comic series Ami - Queen Of Hearts about a young person who, after the death of her mother, has to act as first lady at the side of her father, who is president of Korea. Ami - Queen Of Hearts also appeared in seven books by Daiwon .

Since November 2004 she has been drawing for the same magazine on the Ciel series , which has so far been published in 20 edited volumes. This fantasy story is about a girl whose normal country life changes when she learns more about her past and discovers a school of magic that she attends from then on.

Rhim's work has been translated into German, French, Italian and English.
