Rhina Ramirez

Rhina Ramírez (born March 1945 in Las Matas de Farfán ) is a Dominican singer.

Ramírez was solo altist in the Coro Nacional of the Dominican Republic in the late 1960s . She made a name for herself as an interpreter of Manuel Sánchez Acosta's compositions and has won numerous national and international singing competitions since the 1970s. She received the Premio El Dorado several times . Concert tours have taken her to Venezuela, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Puerto Rico, France and Spain, the USA and several countries in the Middle East. Her performance of the Siete canciones populares españolas by Manuel de Falla with the Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional received critical acclaim.
