Ria Beck

Ria Beck (born January 21, 1953 in Boizenburg / Elbe ) is a German ophthalmologist . She taught at the University of Rostock .

Life

Ria Beck attended a school in Boizenburg , where she passed her Abitur in 1971 . Then studied human medicine at the University of Rostock . From 1976 to 1981 she was an assistant doctor at the University Eye Clinic. In 1981 she became a medical specialist and in 1984 a senior physician at the clinic. In 1982, she was with a study on the implantation of intraocular lenses in cataract (cataract) PhD . Beck received her teaching qualification in 1988, her habilitation in ophthalmology followed in 1991. In the following year she was appointed private lecturer. From 2002 she held an adjunct professorship . From 2004 she has been the deputy head of the University Eye Clinic.
