Ria Klug (born February 17, 1955 in Herborn ) is a German author .

Career

Ria Klug completed an apprenticeship as a carpenter after completing a preliminary diploma in humanities at JLU Giessen . For 20 years she worked independently in furniture and interior design, interrupted by postgraduate studies at the Kassel Werkakademie für Gestaltung.

In 2011, Klug started the only German-language crime series with a trans person as the main character with Kleine Betriebsstistern . She writes detective novels , short stories, columns and satires . She also writes and produces radio reports as a queer activist. Klug occasionally plays stage roles.

Klug has lived in Berlin since 2011.
