The Ribe VikingeCenter (not to be confused with the Museet Ribes Vikinger ) is an open-air museum in Denmark founded in 1992 . It is about two kilometers south of the center of Ribe , near the village of Lustrup.

On the almost ten square kilometers large area there are various buildings and farmsteads that were reconstructed based on archaeological findings from the Viking Age . A brook runs through the area. A Viking Age boat replica is moored at a landing site. In the entrance area of the museum is a visitor center with a museum shop, which has books, toys and various handicrafts for sale.

A special feature of the Ribe VikingeCenter in the summer months are the artisans from different parts of Europe, who show their skills in smaller tents and sell handicrafts. These refer to each other as "Hobby Vikings". There are also demonstrations by archers and falconers .

The Ribe VikingeCenter is open from late April to late October. For children, there is a spacious playground with a variety of play equipment based on mythical creatures from the Viking Age, such as Midgard snakes , Fenris wolves and the giant Hymir .
