Ricardo Esqueda (born February 25, 1981 in Aguascalientes , Aguascalientes ) is a Mexican football player who was used at the beginning of his career mostly in the position of a striker and recently more often in the attacking midfield .

Life

Esqueda made his debut in Mexico's Primera División on October 14, 2001 in a home game against CF Monterrey . It wasn't a made-to-measure debut, as his team quickly fell 2-0 behind and Esqueda was replaced in the 39th minute. Later the Tuzos even conceded the 0: 3, but scored three goals between the 64th and 75th minutes and thus secured one point to make the final 3: 3. His second use on March 23, 2002, he played in the second half of the same season against the same opponent. Esqueda came on in the 75th minute when the score was 1-0 for Monterrey, which was also the end result.

Although Esqueda had such an unfortunate debut with the Tuzos and only made 16 first division appearances by May 2004, Pachuca was also his most successful station because he won the championship title twice with the team during this period.

Between 2004 and 2007 he played for the Pachuca farm teams Pachuca Juniors and Indios de Ciudad Juárez in the second-rate Primera División 'A' before he was used again for Pachuca in the first division in the 2006/07 season . From now on, however, he played again for the Indios, with whom he rose to the first division in 2008 and brought it to 49 first division appearances for the Indios in the following two seasons, in which he scored five goals. His first two goals came on October 11, 2008 in an away game at CF Atlante , which ended 3: 3.

After the relegation of the Indians at the end of the 2009/10 season , Esqueda moved to the Jaguares de Chiapas , where he was also a regular and in his very last game for the Jaguares on May 3, 2013, the opening goal to 1-0 in a 2-1 victory scored against his former club Pachuca.

He has been under contract with the Gallos Blancos de Querétaro since summer 2013 .
