The Indios de Ciudad Juárez are a Mexican football club that was formed in the summer of 2005 when the team of Pachuca Junior , the previous farm team of CF Pachuca , was moved to the northern Mexican border town of Ciudad Juárez and renamed accordingly. This happened at the same time as the previous club of the Ciudad Juárez, the Cobras Ciudad Juárez , were shipped to Los Mochis to function there under the name Tigres as the UANL Tigres farm team .

The club initially played in the Primera División 'A' . They recorded their first major success in the second half of the 2005/06 season, when they advanced to the finals in the Clausura 2006, where they were only defeated on penalties against the later promoted Querétaro FC . On the other hand, the still young club impressively won the Apertura 2007, where this time it clearly got the upper hand in the final against the Dorados de Sinaloa with 3-0 and 4-0. Because they were already qualified for the promotion final against the later Clausura winners Club León , they could even be satisfied with a disappointing fifth place in the second half of the season, which did not entitle them to participate in the play-offs. In the promotion finals they finally prevailed against León with an overall result of 3-2 (the first leg in front of their own audience ended 1-0 and the away second leg 2-2) and have thus been represented in the Primera División since the 2008/09 season . They caused a sensation in the second half of their first season in the first division when they finished seventh in the overall table of the Clausura in 2009 and advanced to the semi-finals in the subsequent play-offs. In the quarter-finals, they surprisingly prevailed against reigning champions Toluca (1-0 and 0-0) before failing Pachuca (0-2 and 3-2).
