The Estadio Olímpico Benito Juárez is a football stadium with an athletics facility in the Mexican border town of Ciudad Juárez in the state of Chihuahua , which is located directly on the Rio Grande and is therefore only a few meters from the border with the United States . It is mainly used for soccer games and is the home ground of the local Club de Fútbol Indios . Since his promotion to the Primera División in spring 2008, the stadium has hosted top division games.

The stadium, built in 1980, was inaugurated on May 12, 1981 with a game between the Mexican national team and Atlético Madrid .
