Ricardo Gilbert
Ricardo Gilbert (* 1891 in Santiago de Chile ; † August 28, 1964 ibid) was a Chilean painter .
Gilbert studied with Fernando Álvarez de Sotomayor at the Escuela de Bellas Artes and is a representative of the artist group of the Generación del Trece . In addition to numerous exhibitions during his lifetime, his works have recently been shown in the exhibitions Panorama de la Pintura Chilena (1987) and Siglo y Medio de Pintura Chilena of the Instituto Cultural de Las Condes (1991) and the exhibition Álvarez de Sotomayor y la Generación del Trece of the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo . The oil painting Plaza de Santiago is owned by the Art Gallery of the Universidad de Concepción .
