Riccardo Ghione (born February 22, 1922 in Acqui Terme ; † 2003 ) was an Italian filmmaker.

Life

Ghione appeared for the first time at the beginning of the 1950s as co-editor of Cesare Zavattini and Marco Ferreri of the three times "Documento mensile" in appearance. Shortly afterwards, like both colleagues, he was involved as a producer in the film Amore in città , which translated Zavattini's poetry into images. In the following time up to 1960 Ghione was mainly involved as a screenwriter, which type of work he resumed for a decade in the mid-1980s when he v. a. wrote erotic fabrics.

After a film that was rarely shown, he directed La rivoluzione sessuale in 1968 , in which he filmed Wilhelm Reich's theories based on his own script . He dealt with the subject of prosperity at the expense of others and dehumanization in the A cuore freddo , created in 1971 ; his last own film, however, was a conventional Giallo .
