Richard Hindls

Richard Hindls (born April 1, 1950 ) is a Czech statistician and has been the rector of the Prague University of Economics since 2006 .

Life

Hindls completed an engineering degree in 1975. He then worked at the Department of Statistics, from 1976 to 1987 for the Czech Planning Commission in the department for long-term planning. In 1987 he returned to the University of Economics in Prague. Since 1992 he has been head of the Statistics and Probability Calculation Department. He became a lecturer in 1992 and professor of statistics in 1998 . Between 2000 and 2006 he was Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science and Statistics, and since 2006 he has been Rector of the Prague University of Economics . He wrote 33 books.
