Richard Kaczynski

Richard Kaczynski (born November 10, 1963 ) is an American author and lecturer in the fields of social psychology and the new religious movement .

Live and act

Kaczynski holds a Bachelor of Science degree, Master’s degrees and a Ph.D. in social psychology from Wayne State University . He currently works for the Department of Psychiatry at Yale University . He is also a visiting lecturer in orthodontics at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry.

Kaczynski has published dozens of articles in a variety of peer-reviewed academic journals ranging from evaluating national programs for comprehensive occupational therapy to multi-site clinical trials on the efficacy of treating bipolar disorder (STEP-BD), schizophrenia ( CATIE) and Alzheimer's Disease (CATIE) range. Other areas of experience include mental health, nursing, substance abuse , prenatal health, orthodontics, violent crime, emergency room and post-traumatic stress disorder in Holocaust survivors .

Kaczynski is best known for his biography of the occultist Aleister Crowley Perdurabo: The Life of Aleister Crowley . The Times Literary Supplement described her as the most important biography to date, and the Norwegian daily Aftenposten named her the best biography on Crowley. Kaczynski's writings on occultism have appeared in various magazines, including the High Times .

Kaczynski also plays keyboard in the band House of Usher and has been a member of the Ordo Templi Orientis since 1987 .
