Richard Kling

Richard Kling (born December 23, 1905 - † August 27, 1990 ) was a German local politician ( CDU ).

Career

Kling studied philosophy, law and political science at the University of Munich . In 1929 he passed the diploma examination for economists, in 1932 he received his doctorate. He was a member of the Catholic student union Rheno-Palatia Breslau.

From the beginning of 1946, he was active in the Hesse-Palatinate regional council. On June 1, 1948 he was appointed to the district administrator of the district of Zweibrücken . In the difficult years of reconstruction, after the lost war, he earned great merit in overcoming the border area, which was particularly hard hit by the consequences of the war. Until the district was dissolved in the spring of 1972, he performed a number of other tasks in addition to his function as district administrator.

Until December 1971 he was chairman of the administrative board of Kreissparkasse Zweibrücken, where he played a key role in the reconstruction and further development of a universal credit institute. He was a member of the supervisory board of the Gemeinnützige Wohnungsbau GmbH Zweibrücken. Also in the representative assembly of the Allgemeine Ortskrankenkasse Zweibrücken. On the board of the Rhineland-Palatinate district council. In the self-governing bodies at the Pirmasens employment office and the Rhineland-Palatinate-Saar state employment office in Saarbrücken. On the supervisory board of the economic development company in Saar-Ost, and in the Homburg-Zweibrücken region working group. He was also a member of the Broadcasting Council of Südwestfunk Baden-Baden. He chaired the Rheinhessen-Pfalz district group of the district assembly. He was also chairman of the supervisory board of Landeplatz Pirmasens-Zweibrücken GmbH. Since its inception, he has been chairman of the board of trustees for business advice. Chairman of the ADAC and then honorary chairman. He became honorary chairman of the German Red Cross of the Zweibrücken district association after having held the office of chairman for many years. He was also involved in church life. As a member of the parish council of the parish Heilig Kreuz, Zweibrücken.
