Richard Krajčo (born June 1, 1977 in Ostrava ) is a Czech theater and film actor , singer , songwriter and front man of the pop band Kryštof.

Life

Krajčo originally trained as an electrician. He then studied at the Ostrava University of Technology in Ostrava . But he broke it off prematurely and began a career as a DJ . In 1993 he founded the band Kryštof in Havířově . In 1996 he was admitted to the Janáčkovo Conservatory of Music and Theater.

From 1998 to 2009 he presented the program Medúza with Aleš Juchelka on the television channel Česká televize . In 1999 he got his first engagement at the Petr Bezruč Theater in Ostrava . In 2000 he won the Alfréd Radok Prize as Talent of the Year. Since 2003 he has been a member of the National Theater Národní divadlo in Prague . In 2013 Krajčo protested against the dismissal of director Jan Burian by Culture Minister Jiří Balvín.

On August 6, 2005 Krajčo married the singer Iva Frühlingová . They separated again in early 2006.

On November 22nd, he married the model Martina Poulíčková. They had a son in 2009 and a daughter in 2011. The two separated in September 2013. Since 2013 Krajčo was in a relationship with the director and screenwriter Karin Babinská, whom he married in 2017.

In 2019 Krajčo wrote the song "Srdce nehasnou" (Hearts do not go out) for Karel Gott and his daughter Charlotte Ella . It was his first song for another singer.
