Richard Liebmann

Richard David Ernst Liebmann (born February 8, 1811 in Schmiedefeld , † October 7, 1871 in Hildburghausen ) was a German judge and politician.

Liebmann was the son of the forester Johann Jacob Heinrich Liebmann and his wife Johanna Wilhelmina Ernsetina, née Mollwitz. He was of Lutheran denomination and married on October 18, 1838 in Saalfeld Aline Babette Jacobs (* April 21, 1814 in Saalfeld; † March 1, 1892 in Meiningen), the daughter of the 2nd Saxony-Coburg-Saalfeld Hustizamtmann Leopolt (Leopold) Wilhelm Jacobs.

Liebmann attended the Lyceum in Saalfeld and then studied law in Jena from 1832 to 1835. In 1838 he became a district court assessor, in 1842 a higher regional court assessor in Pößneck and in 1845 a government assessor. In 1847 he became a councilor in Meiningen. After the March Revolution he was from September 14, 1848 to October 24, 1849, as a State Councilor, head of the Ministry of the Interior in Meiningen and was then put up for disposition. In 1849 he became head of the district court in Saalfeld. From 1863 to 1871 he was President of the Hildburghausen Court of Appeal .

From May 18, 1848 to September 28, 1848 he was a member of the Frankfurt National Assembly . In 1849 he was a participant in the Gotha assembly . In 1850 he was a member of the Volkshaus of the Erfurt Union Parliament .
