Richard P. Saller
Richard P. Saller (born October 18, 1952 ) is an American ancient historian .
Life
He earned a BA, Greek, and History from the University of Illinois in 1974 and a Ph.D. at the University of Cambridge 1978. He teaches at the University of Chicago (Edward L. Ryerson Distinguished Service Professor 1996–2007) and at Stanford University (Kleinheinz Family Professor of European Studies since April 2007).
