Richard Rosenstatter (born October 18, 1985 in Oberndorf near Salzburg ) is a former Austrian trial driver (motorsport), and current coach of the Austrian national trial team.
Career
Rosenstatter was Austrian Trial Vice State Champion in 2004, 2008, 2010 and 2011, Junior State Champion in 2003 and competed six times in the Nations World Cup for Austria. He was the first Austrian to score points in the TrialWM in the Juniors 2006 in Darfo Boario Therme / Italy. Rosenstatter, nicknamed "Trickyrich", also became known for his trial motorcycle stunt shows, where he participated in various events such as B. occurred on the “Day of Sports” in Vienna. After his resignation in 2012, Rosenstatter is still active as a trainer and at trial shows.
biography
Growing up in Nussdorf am Haunsberg in the Salzburger Land , he started doing his first laps on a trial motorcycle at the age of twelve. He drove his first "sections", as the trial passages are called, in the Trial Club Berndorf, where he also competed in his first competition, the 1998 St. Nicholas' Trial. Then Rosenstatter made his debut in the OSK Junior State Championship in 2002 with the support of the club boss at the time, Hans Stemeseder, which he finished with the title of Vice State Champion.
In 2003 Rosenstatter won every run of the junior state championship and thus secured the state championship.
In 2004, when he made his debut in the premier class of the international ÖM, Rosenstatter was defeated by the German Horst Schmidt and achieved the title of vice state champion as the best Austrian in the international open OSK state championship.
In 2005, an accident in which he contracted a comminuted talus fracture in his left ankle almost ended his career the TeamWM with the Austrian national team and was the first Austrian to secure points in the Junior World Championship. Rosenstatter is now committed to promoting young talents in Austrian trial sports.
Rosenstatter has been the team leader of the Trial National Team since 2018 and achieved 3rd place in the International Trophy behind the Czech Republic and the USA at the 2018 Team World Championship in Sokolov, Czech Republic. It was the first podium for an Austrian national trials team.
