Richard Wawro

Richard Wawro (born April 14, 1952 in Newport-on-Tay , † February 22, 2006 in Edinburgh ) from Scotland was a visual artist.

Wawro was autistic and had an island talent . He has been painting pictures from memory with perfect precision since childhood. He painted in great detail scenes that he had only seen on television for seconds. He used wax crayons for this.

Collectors of his works are / were among others Margaret Thatcher and Pope John Paul II.
