Rick Boyer

Rick Boyer (born October 13, 1943 in Evanston , Illinois ; actually Richard Lewis Boyer ) is an American writer .

The son of a lawyer studied English at Denison University in Granville, Ohio, from which he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and "creative writing" with Kurt Vonnegut at the University of Iowa . There he received a Master of Fine Arts degree . Boyer has been a Lecturer in Literature at Western Carolina University since 1988 .

From 1968 he was married to Elaine Edith Smudsky. The marriage, from which they have two sons, was divorced in 1983.
