Rick Dowswell
Rick Dowswell (actually Richard Dowswell; born January 21, 1951 in Sarnia ) is a former Canadian javelin thrower .
In 1971 he was seventh at the Pan American Games in Cali .
At the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich he was eliminated from qualifying, and at the British Commonwealth Games in Christchurch in 1974 he was fourth.
In 1971 he became Canadian champion. Starting for Ohio University , he became NCAA champion in 1972 with his personal best of 81.05 m .
