Rick Kirkman
Rick Kirkman (born March 27, 1953 in North Carolina ) is an American comic artist .
Life
Around 1988 Kirkman, who previously worked as a freelancer, met comic artist and copywriter Jerry Scott and they became friends. Inspired by the birth of Kirkman's second child in 1987, they decided to do a comic strip on the theme of “Family with Young Children,” and then came up with the Baby Blues series . Since 1990 Kirkman has been drawing the stories that are printed in countless daily newspapers around the world. 19 volumes have been published in German since 1998 (# 0 to 18, as of 2018), plus additional individual, collective and special editions.
Rick Kirkman lives with his family in Phoenix, Arizona .
