Ride the Sky was a German - Swedish power metal band founded in 2006 by Uli Kusch and Bjørn Jansson. The name is a title from the Helloween album Walls of Jericho .
Band history
The foundation stone for founding the band was laid by a meeting in early 2006 between Uli Kusch and Bjørn Jansson ( Tears of Anger ). Kusch was a member of Masterplan at the time and had already played with Helloween and Gamma Ray . There was an exchange of musical ideas and after Uli Kusch left Masterplan in October , the two founded Ride the Sky . The band was completed by guitarist Benny Jansson, bassist Mathias Garnas and keyboardist Kaspar Dahlqvist. In August 2007, Nuclear Blast released their debut album "New Protection" . In autumn 2007 the band toured with Sonata Arctica and Epica .
In April 2008 the band announced their immediate termination.
