Ried am Riederberg
Ried am Riederberg is a village and cadastral municipality in the market town of Sieghartskirchen in the Tulln district in Lower Austria .

The street village on the western foothills of the Riederberg stands on hilly terrain on both sides of Bundesstraße 1.
history
The place was mentioned in a document in 1157/1163. The castle of well-known families Langenbacher, Kuenringer, Rudolf von Habsburg, Konrad von Tulln, Otto von Neuburg and the taverns von Ried have been important since the 12th century. The castle fell into disrepair in the 15th century.
In 1548 the office of Ried and the patronage of the church went to Rappoltenkirchen . In 1593 ten houses were owned by the bishop of the Freising diocese . In 1683 the place suffered in the Turkish war.
