The Riesenstein is a bouldering and climbing area on the slope of the Gaisberg directly above Heidelberg's old town.

It consists of two parts, the eponymous smaller massif Riesenstein I with two bouldering blocks in front of it and an approx. 17 m high wall massif Riesenstein II in a former quarry. The routes are in solid sandstone and mostly in higher levels of difficulty (6 to 9). In 2009, new climbing routes in the easier difficulty range were opened (3 to 5+).

Climbing is currently allowed all year round, but magnesia is prohibited .
