Rijadus-Salichin
Rijadus-Salichin ( Gardens of the Virtuous ) is the name of a terrorist unit of Chechen rebels, which is borrowed from the Islamic vocabulary . It was founded by Shamil Basayev , whom the Russian government blames for several terrorist attacks and hostage-taking in recent years.
On September 17, 2004, the Rijadus Salichin Command claimed responsibility for the taking of Beslan hostage and the two bomb attacks on passenger aircraft on August 24, 2004 . The group also claimed responsibility for an attack on a power plant in Sayano Shushenskaya, Siberia, on August 17, 2009 .
