Riklef Rambov

Riklef Rambow (* 1964 ) is a German psychologist and university professor in the field of architectural communication .

Life

Rambow studied psychology in Bielefeld from 1987 to 1992 . In 1992 he became a research assistant at the University of Frankfurt am Main and in 1995 at the University of Münster / Westphalia, where he taught until 2001. In 1999 he received his doctorate as Dr. phil. nat. at the University of Frankfurt am Main. From 2001 to 2012 he worked as a research assistant, visiting professor for architecture education and professor at the chair for theory of architecture at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus .

Rambow was appointed head of the architectural communication department at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in 2009, initially with a Wüstenrot endowed professorship which KIT took over and consolidated in 2015. In 2014/15, Rambow held a visiting professorship for architectural psychology at RWTH Aachen .

Since 1997 he has been managing director of Psy: Plan Institute for Architectural and Environmental Psychology (Berlin) together with Nicola Moczek. Rambow's work deals with the perception and evaluation of architecture as well as communication between architects and laypeople.

He is co-editor of the journal Wolkenkuckucksheim .
