Rimantas Šidlauskas

Rimantas Šidlauskas (* 1962 in Bebrikiai , Kėdainiai district ) is a Lithuanian diplomat and former politician , vice minister .

Life

After graduating from secondary school in Soviet Lithuania , Rimantas Šidlauskas completed a degree in philology from 1980 to 1985 at the Vilniaus universitetas in Vilnius . From 1986 to 1988 he worked at the "Sigma" plant. From 1992 to 1999 he headed the consular department as director at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania . From 1994 to 1996, Šidlauskas was Deputy Foreign Minister. From 1999 to 2002 he was ambassador to Canada , from 2002 to Russia and from 2003 to 2008 in Armenia .
