Circular sewerage

A ring sewage system is a sewer system , the annularly around a lake is applied to prevent unclarified wastewater is introduced into the lake. The wastewater created by the village on the lake is collected in a sewage treatment plant and usually only discharged below the lake drainage.

In practice, circular sewer systems are more like a U or Y than a ring.

From 1957 to 1965, the world's first circular sewer system was built around the Upper Bavarian Tegernsee . The Chiemsee Ring Canal was built from 1986 to 1989 .
