Ringmetall is a German company with headquarters in Munich . Ringmetall is a manufacturer of drum clamping rings that are required for the closures of plastic drums. According to its own information, the company is the world market leader with a world market share of around 70% for these locking units. Furthermore, cover plates and inner casings for barrels as well as special attachments for industrial trucks and agricultural vehicles are manufactured.

The company was founded in 1997 as HPI Holding AG and acted as an investment company . HPI entered the production of industrial packaging through various takeovers. HPI Holding shares have been traded on the open market of the German stock exchange since 2007 . A change to the Entry Standard followed in 2012. This was followed by several acquisitions by national market leaders in clamping ring production, including in Turkey , Italy and the USA . In 2015, the name was changed to Ringmetall AG. Since 2018, the company's share has been part of the General Standard and listed in the CDAX .
