Press seal

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Annular seal is the name given to a type of seal located in a wall (or in the floor) for sealing pipes and cables.

function

An EPDM rubber element (in connection with two steel flanges ) is installed as a seal around the pipe and in a casing pipe embedded in concrete in the wall. The sealing effect against water and gas is created by pressing the rubber element together using the screwable steel flanges. The press ring seal is also called a press ring seal. It can also be installed directly in a core drill hole instead of a casing pipe. In contrast to flange solutions , this type of internal seal does not create any interface-releasing connection to external surface seals . The new form of an "annular space seal" with PVC hose is installed on the outside and thus, as an interface solution, creates the connection to the external surface seal. It can be used for all diameters at any inclination - without a casing or other aids.
