Riserva Moac is an anti-folk , rock , hip-hop band from Bojano in the Molise region of Italy . The musician collective began in 2003 as a folk-rock band that mixed more and more local musical traditions with rock elements. In the meantime the musical influences have multiplied and hip-hop elements, Balkan beats and other styles expand the musical scope of the band.

history

Riserva Moac, which now has seven members, was founded in 2003 in Bojano, around 80 km northeast of Naples. The band members not only sing in Italian, but also in local dialects, some of which differ greatly from the standard Italian language, especially in the south. The band sees the dialects as a bridge to cultural traditions and the history of southern Italy. In the current album Babilonia , hip-hop as well as many polkaeats and Balkan influences have clearly been added to the musical diversity of the band.
