James Graeme Sinclair (born July 1, 1957 in Paisley ) is a former Scottish football player .

Career

Graeme Sinclair was born in Paisley , about seven miles west of Glasgow , in 1957 . He began his career in 1976 at FC Dumbarton . For the club, Sinclair completed over 200 competitive games in the Scottish second division. In August 1982 Sinclair joined Celtic Glasgow for a fee of £ 65,000 . He made his debut for Celtic two weeks later in the League Cup against Dunfermline Athletic . He received special attention after a brilliant performance as a man hit by Johan Cruyff in a game against Ajax Amsterdam in the European Cup . Sinclair was often a substitute player under Celtic coach David Hay . In November 1984 he was awarded to the English second division club Manchester City . In February 1985 the defender was loaned to FC Dumbarton. At the end of the 1984/85 season he moved to FC St. Mirren . Due to joint pain , he was not used there and ended his career. After his career as a player, he owned a kiosk in Paisley.
