The mansion

history

The manor in Friedrichshaide has belonged to Ronneburg since April 1, 1922 . The location of the building is on the southwestern outskirts.

The land used to belong to Ronneburg Castle. In 1702 these lands were inherited and left out. Magistrate Metsch from Stangengrün bought a considerable part. He only put a Vorwerk and had built houses for workers. On January 10, 1719, Metsch received the notification from the Duke of Altenburg that this new settlement with what is now the manor must bear the name Friedrichshaide . It is important to know that there was a fire in Friedrichshaide in 1872, 1880 and 1895.

A large fruit, vegetable, flower and rose garden belonged to the manor. This garden was popular with guests. The manor was surrounded by a wall. Outside, the fields and meadows as well as some ponds belonged to the estate.

Uranium mining

As in the neighboring village of Schmirchau , the arable land of the manor fared. It was excavated and stacked, but parts of the buildings remained and were even used.
