Ritterstrasse 10

The Ritterstraße 10 building is a listed farmhouse in Magdeburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

location

The building is located on the north side of Ritterstrasse at the western end of the street in Magdeburg's Neue Neustadt district . The Abendstraße joins the Ritterstraße directly opposite the house.

Architecture and history

The core of the single-storey, plastered house dates back to 1813. At that time it was built as a new settler's house as part of the New Neustadt complex and is one of the oldest buildings in the district. After a fire on the farm, the house was rebuilt in 1845 for the arable citizen Bodenstein. The seven-axis building is simple, designed in the classicism style. The central entrance to the house is accentuated by a flat risalit and crowned by a roof bay with a triangular gable. The building is covered by a high gable roof , which was later extended to the east over the gate entrance and a former coach house to the east of it.

In the yard there are stables built in 1845 in half-timbered construction.

The building is listed as a farmhouse in the local register of monuments under registration number 094 76802.
