Ritzebüttler School
The Ritzebüttler School in Cuxhaven , Grodener Chaussee 11, is under the protection of monuments in Lower Saxony and is included in the list of architectural monuments in Cuxhaven .
history
The three- storey clinker brick main building from 1914, probably already in the style of reform architecture , with a mansard roof and a wide three-storey central risalit , was initially used as a hospital by the Imperial Navy until 1919 due to the war . From October 1919 school operations could begin. Another single-storey wing from the same period and a newer gym are grouped around the schoolyard.
The Ritzebüttel School is now (2020) a primary school.
Ritzebüttel is now part of the city center of Cuxhaven and was a place in the former Hamburg office of Ritzebüttel . In 1872 the places Ritzebüttel and Cuxhaven united.
