Riversong Guitars is a Canadian manufacturer of acoustic guitars . The company was founded in 2011 by Mike Miltimore and is based in Kamloops , British Columbia . Riversong Guitars is one of the guitar manufacturers in the premium segment.

Company history

In 1974 Lee Miltimore opened the guitar business Lee's Music in Kamloops ( British Columbia ) , in 1986 his son Mike joined the business. In the 1990s they started making custom guitars , that is, custom-made guitars. In 2006 the guitar maker Mike Trelenberg joined the company. In the following years, Mike Miltimore developed guitars with two innovations: in order to keep the tensile forces out of the construction of the body, the construction with a continuous neck, which is unusual for acoustic guitars, was chosen. This is to reduce the ceiling beaming, which means that the body can vibrate better, according to Miltimore. In addition, with Riversong guitars, the angle of the neck to the body and thus the string position above the neck can be varied without great effort, so that it can be adapted to the respective playing style. The woods for the guitars come exclusively from Canadian stocks. The guitars usually have an additional sound hole in the frame facing the player. Riversong Guitars has received numerous awards for its new developments since 2014.

  • Soulstice Series: Walnut neck and black finish are special features of this type.
  • Graduated Scale Series: The guitars and a bass guitar are built so that the bass strings are longer than the higher-pitched strings.
