La Chailleuse is a commune in the French department of Jura in the region Bourgogne Franche-Comté . It is located in the cantons of Moirans-en-Montagne and Saint-Amour .
It was created as Commune nouvelle by decree of October 28, 2015 with effect from January 1, 2016 through the merger of the former municipalities of Arthenas , Essia , Saint-Laurent-la-Roche and Varessia .
