geography
There are several small lakes in the municipality, including the Étang Fruitier , the Étang de Desnes , the Grand Virolot and the Petit Virolot . Desnes is bordered in the northeast by Vincent-Froideville , Ruffey-sur-Seille in the southeast, Bletterans in the southwest, Relans in the west and Commenailles in the northwest.
