Domblans is a French commune with 1,232 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Jura in the region Bourgogne Franche-Comté . It belongs to the arrondissement of Lons-le-Saunier and the canton of Poligny . The inhabitants are called Domblanais or Domblanaises .

With effect from January 1, 2019, the formerly independent municipalities of Bréry and Domblans were merged to form the Commune nouvelle Domblans of the same name , in which only Bréry received the status of a Commune déléguée . The administrative headquarters are in Domblans.

geography

It is located 12 kilometers north of Lons-le-Saunier and consists of the districts Domblans, Blandans, Bréry and Muyre. The neighboring municipalities are Saint-Lamain in the north, Frontenay in the northeast, Menétru-le-Vignoble and Château-Chalon in the east, Voiteur and Le Louverot in the south, Plainoiseau in the southwest, Saint-Germain-lès-Arlay in the west and Mantry in the northwest.
