Blois-sur-Seille is a commune in the Jura department in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté . It belongs to the arrondissement of Lons-le-Saunier and the canton of Poligny . The villagers call themselves Blézois or Blézoises .

The Seille flows through Blois-sur- Seille . In the district of Chaumois Boivin , southeast of the main settlement, an aerial cableway for agriculture was operated around the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries . The neighboring communities are Ladoye-sur-Seille in the north, La Marre in the east, Nevy-sur-Seille in the south and Château-Chalon in the west.
