- The family of the Counts of Montmorot, descendants of Count Rainald I of Burgundy
- Agustín Fernando Muñoz y Sánchez (1808–1873), morganatic husband of Maria Christina of Sicily , Queen of Spain, was appointed Duc de Montmorot by King Ludwig Philipp in 1847 . The title is still used in Spain today.
